AIRMED
AIRMED, also spelled AIRMID and pronounced AWR-meet or EER-meet, was a goddess of  the Tuatha De Danann. Being the daughter of Diancecht, the god of medicine, Airmed was adept at medicine and all healing arts.  She had great magickal powers and was particularly skilled in the use of herbs, which she would use to heal those wounded in battle.  When she sang, her enchanting voice could resurrect the dead.  She was also a craftswoman who, with her borther, helped forge the famed silver hand of Nuad.

In legend, it is said that after her brother, Miach, died, she tended  his grave.  On this grave, all the herbs of the world grew and, as she harvested them, theyspoke to her and told her their many uses.  She laid them out on a cloak by their properties, but her jealous father came along and shook out the cloak, scattering away nearly all of the knowledge.

Today, Pagans call on Airmed for general aid in magick, healing, learning herbalism  understanding family loyalty and creative inspiration.
